Having been gone
ok this was not a good idea. I mean being gone for so long. I want to redo my blog so that it is more interesting. It still will be about my family, my Dodgers, things that are of interest. I want to have a corner for inspirational stories, world news tid-bits, sports, family stuff, I also want to include some of my crafts. things I sew, cross stitch, crochet, reading, cooking, photography. So please be patient with me as I embark on this new venture.

Little League
OK, this is where you will find the baseball updates on both my grandson's little league games. Here are some facts regarding both teams.
Minor Indians: this is the team my grandson Ben is playing on. His dad(my son Carlos) is the manager. His grandpa(Carlos Sr.) is his coach. Indians have been improving with each year. They are looking pretty good for 2010 and I hope they do well. Ben is our pitcher/3rd baseman. His first game which was saturday 2/27 was cancelled due to rain. Makeup game will be for Tuesday, March 2nd.
Pony Mets: this is the team my grandson Devin is playing on. His dad(my son David) and his Papa are the coaches. This is Devin's 3rd year playing. He is looking good! This will be the first year that the kids will actually be pitching, so its going to be exciting to see how the boys react. Devin will be playing the infield. His first game will be this coming Saturday.
My husband coached both our boys when they played baseball. He always taught them that winning was not everything. He taught them that respect for their coaches, teammates and themselves was most important. Learning the fundamentals of the game was escencial but
also to have fun.
And now my sons are teaching their boys to do the same. I am so proud of them as I see them out there and knowing that they did listen to their dad!

Awards
Just thought I would toot the horn!!!! My grandaughter Rebekah won the Student of the Month award! My grandaughter Erika won an award for Generosity! And my grandson Devin won the award for Respect! Congratulations to my three little ones for these tremendous qualities that make you so awesome.
Super Bowl 2010
OK SuperBowl is this sunday. My team (Rams) are not in it so I really don't care who wins it. If I really have to pick one of the teams playing, I guess I will go for the Saints. Why? Well its their first time going and they had a rough time a couple of years ago when they were hit with hurricane Katrina.
We will be going to my younger son's home to watch the game. His team (Steelers) did not make it this year either. They had a good chance at the end, but with losing 6 games in a row, that really did them in.
My older son's team (Raiders) are sitting on the bench right along the Steelers and the Rams! But who knows maybe next year with any luck, good players and decent refs one of our teams will be going to the big dance!!!!! We shall see

Another quake for Haiti
I just heard that another earthquake hit Haiti this morning. It was a 5.9, so it was no small one. What more damage can those people tolorate. Lets all keep them in our prayers. I wish I was younger so that they would allow me to adopt one of two of those little babies that are left without parents. They said there are thousands of orphans. This is so sad.
